more like a clunk, or some sort of bang

Sure sounds like radius arm bushings...I'm on my second set, ready for a third (240,000mi). Do a search for this item, you'll find plenty of threads.

Could also mean that your radius arm brackets are broke. Mine had shattered. Got a new one from ford for 35 bucks.

A clunk when braking definitely sounds like a Radius Arm problem although a bracket could be broken worn bushings would be the most likely culprit.

im no chevy guy, trust me i know what radius arms and bushings are. i just replaced my bko's bracket, arm, bushing.

the arms and brackets are in good shape, maybe its the bushing. i will change them out tomorrow

it is deffintly the radius arm bushing, its starting to do it at quick hard turns. somehow the rivets are still in the bracket so i think i will replace em later in the week
