Hi, I have a 2000(4.0 SOHC) 19000 miles on the clock. U.K spec.
Whenever I shift from reverse to drive or drive to reverse I get a clunk from the rear of the truck.
I have been back to three different dealers but they all say this is normal.
Someone told me to change the oil in the transmission, would this help??????
Thanks Steve.

That doesn't sound right to me. I have a UK spec 4 SOHC and mine doesn't clunk at all. Just make sure the vehicle is stationary when changing. Had similar prob on mondeo auto turned out to be the valve chamber was cracked (new auto box wanted). Try another dealer!

Have them lube the slip yoke. Hopefully it's that simple. Also, double check the U-joints to make sure they are not loose already. You never know.....

Thanks for your help guys.
I'll try your suggestions at the weekend and let you know.
cheers Steve
