Clunking Sound on turns?????

OK guys, I've got a question. I've been hearing a clunking or popping noise when I make left turns. It is only when I turn to the left and not the right. I hear it right before I straighten the wheel back out, and I can kind of feel it on the floorboard. It feels like it is coming from the torsion bar adjust area but I don't know. Any ideas?????

Probably the ball joints. Try doing a search this has been talked about a lot

Dealer said the ball joints were fine and wanted to search more for the problem but didn't have any idea what it might be. Well, at $75 an hour for them to "search" I thought I would talk to some more of you first. It seems the members here know mor ethan alot of the techs.

Mine does the same thing. I'm thinking CV joints? But I could be wrong. Mine does it when I'm pulling into a parking stall or doing slow turns, etc.

Mind does the same thing on 'hard' left turns only.
After the noise, my alignment is noticeably off for litte while and then it seems to 'correct' itself.

I don't know what the problem is. It hasn't happened recently so I''ve been ignoring it!

If anyone knows what this is, please let us know.

Do your wheels go out of alignment also? (when you hear the 'clunk')

Oh yeah -- Canadian Tire shop told me my ball joints needed replacing and would cost about 700 to do the job. They told me that probably 4 years ago and I didn't do anything about it. -- So maybe the ball joints?>...

I don't notice it getting out of align. I've had no problems like that. The one tech thought it might be actually coming from the rear instead of the front. This started a few months after I put on my WAR-153 shackles and did a TT. Could that have anything to do with the noise? I'm wondering if I have too much torque on the shackles that might be binding them causing the noise and it's just transfering up the frame toward the front. Anyone know the correct torque specs for WAR shackles?

Solved the clunking noise

It's been awhile due to moving and getting a new job, but i solved my mysterious clunk. My shackles weren't tightened to the torque specs, which made me learn that my torque wrench went bad. I figured out the problem but now I have to sell my baby. New job requires an open bed truck. It kills me to have to give her up. I'm selling some of my accesories if anyone is interested.
