Can anyone tell me if the 98 explorer sport still uses radius bushing or something else now. Mine clunks when you go over bumps in the road and I have replaced shocks and realigned they didnt say anything at that time.

No it does not, it uses torsion bar's. You can search for torsion bar retainers on this site and you might fidn your problem :)

Please pay attention to where you place your new threads, this does not belong in "For Sale, Trade & Wanted"... Also by having your thread in the wrong forum you're not getting the exposure you need to get the right answer.

Thanks I realized after the fact I was still in that area.

While this topic is open. What does the Kevlar patch look like? Is it a greenish color rubber material held on by clips all around? ~2-3" in size all around? I took some digital pics this last weekend hoping to post them but I cannot do so. I think the rubber Kevlar material is coming out, but I am unsure if this is the case. I do suffer of this clunking over bumps.

Cheers!

ball joints is what i'd check

okay thanks guys. what I gather from reading all this is the only way to tell for sure is to take off the adjusters. Seems like there ought to be a better way of building this mousetrap! It must be one of Fords better ideas.
