So i've noticed this clunking sound for a while, at first i thought it might be bad balljoints or front suspension. But I just changed both lower control arms. The upper control arms were replaced 1year ago. front brakes were replaced 1 month ago. I still have this clunking sound.

You can hear two clunking sound , the first one is when my truck comes to a complete stop, and the second one is when i release the brake pedal.

What might cause this sound?

Maybe the slip joint in your drive shaft is binding.

hmmm i couldn't find which one is the caliber bolts, all bolts seems tight if i just look at them

Two caliper adapter bracket bolts are attached to each caliper in the top threaded holes shown. Use a SIX
point socket with a cheater pipe for leverage, clean threads, red thread lock, and torque between 72-97 ft/lbs.

do i have to take the wheel off to see it?

No. Start the engine and turn the wheel to full steering lock for easier access. IIRC, top bolt is in a recess. Check both sides. ;)

My truck has a clunk sound too.
I noticed you have original sway bar end links and bushings, those may be the clunk. They do go bad.

Unlikely, since he just had both LCA's replaced. Agree though, OEM front sway bar end links are absolute junk.

It's possible..

My whole front end is new and I get that clunk. The brakes are tight, so I've started ignoring it. I feel like it may be a sticking caliper, cause the sound only happens when I come to a complete stop.

Your '97 was the last year they used torsion keys with Kevlar pads that wear out. Maybe?

Did you get your sway bar bracket spinning bolt issue fixed? Hope so, sounds like a PITA.

Actually, I had a new problem after that and put it aside for a bit.

However, while at the scrap yard, I grabbed 2 bolts off a 97, so I'm going to put one of those in and see how it goes.

As for the Kevlar pads, let me read about it. I'd assume it would clunk on bumps too, but mine doesn't..

if it's the slip joint, can i ignore it for like 5000miles?
Greasing not critical if it's the slip yoke, more annoying than anything. Did you check the caliper adapter bolts?

Front brakes were replaced one month ago by a chain repair shop, so I think they should be good...

All the more reason to check them. There are 5 15 mm bolts on the back. The three in the center are for the hub bearing. Just look on the ends of the caliper and you'll see where it bolts on.
