Clutch pedal Removal

In the Haynes Manual (Chapter 8-6-11), it says to;
.3 Remove the "Drivers Knee Bolster".
Whats is that???

.5 Pry the retainer from the clip on the pedal support bracket.
Where, on the right side?? (cant see up there. will get a mirrror)

I believe the knee bolster is a fancy name for the trim panel under the steering column.

Not sure about the clip on the bracket. Maybe someone else can help.
