okay, as I understand itthe clutch slave is in the tranny?? and the master is on the fire wall?? I can't see a thing. there's the big round vaccuum whatever and the main fuse box so you can't even see it. under the dash either. anyway the other day I had plenty of pressure but no pedal. checked the res and it was dry. great huh? refilled and the clutch pedal has plenty of pressure but you have to pump it to get in gear. also it disengages immediatly with no travel from the floor. air problem?? also it appears to have no leaks cause it has lost nuthin since refill. does the fluid evaporate? so you need to check it often? I've been bad about checkin it. sorry about the lenth of this. any help appreciated.

Sounds like you need to bleed the air out of the lines. It is a closed system like the brakes and the fluid does not evaporate. If the fluid is low or empty it has gone somewhere. The slave cylinder is inside the bell housing but there should be a bleed valve visable where the line goes into the housing. If the slave cylinder is leaking inside the bell housing you may think it is a trans. leak or rear seal leak. Should be able to remove the dust cover and look inside to verify.

Hope this helps.
