ok so i just bought my 94 xlt in june and have already had to replace the dpfe(egr) & maf sensor. now the CEL is on again and the code is 214. CID fault.
i had a printout made of possible reasons behind this.
CMP sensor
CKP sensor
ICM
PCM
heres my dilemma. the chiltons i took a look at claims that there is no CMP sensor on a 94 4.0 x code engine. is this true? believing this i went ahead replaced the CKP sensor. before i go forward with this any further and replace the ICM AND OR PCM.....is that chiltons wrong? if so how much of a pain is it going to be to replace it? my truck runs fine but im tired of looking at that darn CEL!! please help.
and please dont flame for my lack of use of the search function. im using my cellphone and clicking links takes forever at times and some stuff just wont load. thank you in advance.
