Code P1309 ????

Ok people my 2002 4.6 explorer has issues, it stumbbles when driving (kinda feels like a bad coil) while at an idle and sometimes dies. codes were p1132,0174, I replaced the MAF, no change. Took it to this shop and the tech said my motor is shot... Well I thought if that were true I wouldnt have any power and maybe hear some kind of knocking,chattering noise? So after leaving this shop the check engine light was off, after driving a while it came on again, now the code is P1309?? What does all this mean & what should I do???

HD40 CHECK CMP SENSOR OUTPUT

Diagnostic Trouble Code (DTC) P1309 indicates Misfire Detection Monitor is not enabled.


REPLACE CMP sensor. RESTORE vehicle. COMPLETE Misfire Monitor Repair Verification Drive Cycle. RERUN Quick Test .
