I have a 98 Mazda B4000 with the 4l V6, just had the upper engine rebuilt due to cracked heads.
Got the car back drove it for a few miles and the check engine light came back on....... Gave the car back to the mechanic and he replaced 2 oxygen sensors, said they were shot from having antifreeze and oil blown all over them for months while driving with a cracked head.
So I get the car back and again a couple miles down the road the light comes back on again. Took the car to autozone and this is the code
Error code is P1309
Definition: ECM Ignition Control misfire detection
Probable Cause: Misfire Detected-verify condition and repair
anyone got any ideas? im definatly going to give the car back to the mechanic but Im not really interested in playing the "lets replace the sensor till its fixed" game
