code PO304 still popping up?..help..

so this code has been popping up for a while now. i've replaced the egr valve, the DPFE, and the plug. i'm still geting a pending PO304 code(#4 misfire) i've searched the site and saw that the # wire rests on an egr line causing a little too much heat which may lead to the misfire. could that be the prob? any help would be great. thanks.

have you tried re routing and replacing the spark plug wire? If you havent done so make sure you unplug your battery and reset the computer. It could just be a stored code.

Yes, did you reset the computer after you replaced the DPFE? Can't remember if you mentioned that in your other thread... Pull the plug and see how it looks. You can also try swapping wires and see if the code follows the wire to the different plug or if comes back to #4.

i did reset the codes and replaced the plug, the wires look pretty new, so i have not replaeced any. so, i can swap plug wires? are they all the same?

you should be able to swap with another that's about the same length with no problem.

so i swapped plug wires and cleared the ecu and the code still pops up. this time it triggered the CEL, before it was just a pending code. listening to the exhaust pipe i can hear that there is a misfire, could it be the Coil Pack? any ideas??? thanks
