Column Shift Tube Bushings

There was so much slop in my column shifter that I decided to open it up and take a look. I can see the that front (of two) column shift tube bushings has disintegrated. Just pieces of it remaining. I have new bushings on order, will get them in as soon as they arrive. Any tricks or trips in doing this? Looks straight forward... although I am not looking forward to folding myself into a pretzel to work on it. That kick panel is a PITA and the column cover screws are always a fight.

remove Driver's seat. 4x bolts and an electrical connector or 3 sure beats the crap out of pretzelling for as long as it would take do get this job done.
