Ok so for christmas people have been asking me what I want and I was going through Crutchfield's catolog and came across these
http://www.crutchfield.com/S-8Mez7sF8Pjk/cgi-bin/ProdView.asp?g=85100&I=1086800CS

Now my question is would these make a huge difference in sound over my pioneer 4 way 6x8's ? and are they are to install? I am also getting subs, and an amp within the next 2 weeks so would there be any conflict with the components and subs? , I dont know a whole lot about this stuff but i can install my own HU, speakers, and can run wireing. SO any help is apreciated

holy expensive! Anywhoo what do you mean by conflict with the components and subs? One thing to think about however, amplifying components externally (not using your deck) is typically a good thing, as you can see with those components they can handle up to 90wrms, so in reality you wont be reaching their full potential with the typical 12-15 watt head unit.

That component set shouldn't be hard to install, as the woofers should bolt right in, then you'll just have to mount the x-overs wherever you want, and mount the tweets.
IMO components aren't worth the money if you plan on running them off the deck...

ok I understand I should use an amp for them but If i dont get the amp for them right now but plan to shortly there after should I get them anyway? I will be gettin the amp and subs pretty cheap so this is a good chance to save serious cash on a complete system- minus HU

I would not buy them yet, I would also want to hear them before I ordered them. You will probably turn up the system to hear the subs bump. When you do that you'll send the peak wattage of your HU to your brand new $200 component set and heat them up and fry them.

I'd "spend" the $200 Christmas gift on a $200 4-channel amp to run your current Pioneers until you fry them. :-) Find a 4-channel amp with a high pass crossover for your Pioneers and later your Infinity. By conflict, I'm assuming you are asking about crossovers. Does your sub-amp have a variable crossover? If so set it to around the same as your high pass on the new amp. I like 90hz myself, but that can be tweaked to the speakers and the size of the interior.

I set that crossover point by ear. Find music you know well with a deep, male voice. Listen for the voice in the sub, if you hear it, turn the cross over lower. Next move to your other speakers, they shouldn't pop distort to the beat. Turn the volume down, or the crossover a little higher.

That's how I'd build my system in your situation, anyway...

i'd just avoid those particular speakers, and if i went with components i'd go to 6.5s.

but don't listen to me you'll have to go to a store and listen to decide what you like, but i highly recommend not buying those without hearing them etc.

yep agree with listening to them first... I believe if you have a circuit city in your area, they carry infinity brands, as well as alpine, audiobahn, polk etc. While not as accurate as an in vehicle test, It'll at least give you an idea.

6.5's would mount right he would have to cut out the holes to make them fit. They are 6x8 or 5x7. I have kicker components and love them.

yeah, i definitely don't know what it takes to fit 6.5s...

they fit just fine if you use a piece of mdf as a triim ring/spacer

welll Im pretty sure the person orderd them already and i cant go back on it now =/. So the money I get for christmas will go to a 4 channel amp i guess lol, now as for the sub amp im not sure what all the cross over stuff means really im new when it comes to that stuff so please be patient , After I get everything anyone willing to help me set it up, Ill install just dont know how to tune it or whatever else needs to be done. I will drive as far as 100 miles lol and ill throw a couple bucks your way , keep in mind this wont be till the begining of january that i have EVERYTHING. thanks again for all the help even tho im pretty dumb and dont know alot of what it means lol here is a list of the stuff so maybe you guys could help me out by pointing me in the right direction.

with a box and wiring.

Circuit City doesn't carry them, so don't bother trying to go see if you can give them a listen. From personal experience I can tell you that they are a decent sounding component set, I think that you will like them. But definitely get that 4 channel amp.
