component speakers

Recently I blew on of my door speakers so I was thinking of getting some components. I was just wondering what you recommend. I need something that can be heard clearly over 1200W of bass (2 Kicker Solo Barics). I am leaning toward Polk's. Thanks in advance.

I've heard good things about the Crystal Mobilesound Line of components. So I just purchased a set of Csc60s from sounddomain.com ($161 delivered). I will let people know how they sound once I get them.

Infinity Kappa's are great, and I just put Alpine Type R's in my Sport and they are amazing, even better highs than the Kappa (which I didn't know was possible). I got the 6.5" components and hade to make some brackets and use a foam baffle to make them work, but it is definately worth it over a 5.25" (I personally think 5.25" sound like poop b/c they have no midbass) Polk would be my third choice, but if your on a budget, check out the Infinity Reference components. I put these in my dad's '98 Mounty using his factory MACH system, and they sound really good, and are like 1/2 the price of the Alpine's or the Kappas. Efficiency is your friend if your using your stock equipment. Just my 0.02

I have a set of the Audiobahn 5 1/4 metal coned compnents and they sound good, the carbon coned components should sound great though. I like components much better than my old speakers (rockford fosgate 5x7)

I have the Audiobahn Carbon cone components, and they sound(ed) great! The amp I had powering them blew though, so I can't listen to them anymore... I will definitely put them in my next car and get a new amp for them.
