I am terrible with photos. I get excited and just work, forgetting I have a great camera on my phone.
My tires were worn and I wanted to improve fuel economy by lowering RPM at speed. I took some 17"x 8 Pony wheels from a Mustang, (I forgot to get the back spacing) and used some 2" spacers I had, and mounted 265/70/17 Destination A/T (31.7 x 10.7).
I didn't want to lift the truck if I could avoid it, and I don't mind cutting. On the left side I did have to trim the corner from the grey plastic side board thing, and I used two heavy zip ties and pulled the inner fender back to the body mount. I still have a very slight rub on the bump molded into the rear of the left inner fender by the outside of the tire briefly at near full lock. That's it so far. I might go ahead and crank the bars up 1/5-3/4 inch would bring me level with the rear. It's probably time for an alignment anyway. Also I think if I used a pair of 1.5-1.75 inch spacers on the front, that might alleviate the rubbing altogether. That would actually work well since the rear are tucked into the fender a little more.
After stepping back and looking at my work I was very unhappy with the faded and scratched grey plastic bumper and lower panels, so I sprayed them with Plastidip. It turned out great. I'll rock this for a while until they start looking bad and spray with bed liner instead.
I will take better pics of what I did tomorrow. I also made an air panel in the hopes to reduce drag. I found a discarded projection TV and took the back off and cut it up to fit from the front bumper to the cross member. I'll get pics of that too.
