I have a 2002 - V6 4X4 with 135K miles and I am considering a change for a 2008 - V8 - 4X4 but I'm wondering if reliability has improved in latest models, so I'd appreciate some honest opinions/responses to my questions:
1) What the life expectancy of front and rear wheel bearings (in miles)?
2) At what mileage do you start hearing roaring noises in the rear differential, or some other drive train component?
3) At what mileage do you start having tranny issues? (OD not engaging or flashing, hard or delay shifting between gears, etc).
4) Any other problem?
I love the versatility, safety, and comfort of this great family car, but reliability in all honesty sucks! But I'm not a chevy or dodge guy... so any sign of improvement over the above issues and I may get another one.
Thanks..
