In all fairness the system is working really well for most people. I know 7 people with MFT and we have all had it for over 2 weeks now. No major lock ups or freezes. Everyone is very happy with the new update. As we have seen in some other threads people who have been having big problems are having the APIM replaced by Ford. I have seen 2 people on here who have said they are having the APIM replaced. Hit and miss I guess.
Again, this is a ridiculous recommendation. Why should anyone ever have to do this? Ford should provide better software or at least a more convenient way to "reboot" if it comes to it.
Scottmc, the tech that did the upgrade should have done it, and i agree there should be an reboot button but there is not ! I pull my fuse right after the upgrade and it is working fine, so why break your head just pull the fuse and hope that in the next upgrade there will be another free upgrade like in all computer's they wii add a reboot feature !!!!!
My calendar still shows 2031 even after the update, and set GPS readings. Dealer said they will try a "hard" update, and if that doesn't work order a new ??module. From my small knowledge of computers I would assume the calendar is in the software, but someone said it might be in the built in firmware. This is the only problem I still have.
