I recently took my 2001 Explorer Sport to WalMart for an oil change. They put in 10W 30.

My engine has now been getting too hot. The coolant looks quite dirty in the reserve tank, and I think replacing the coolant might help my overheating problem. However, I must admit I don't know much about cars.

Two questions: 1) Does anyone think the coolant is the problem?
2) I need to know where the heck the drain is for the coolant. I can drain the reserve tank no problem, but when I get under my car...I'm lost. Pictures would probably help the most haha, but I'll take what I can get as far as anyone's directions are concerned. Be very detailed if you can help.

First get a coolant gauge. They are very cheep, they have a rubber bulb on one end a clear plastic body with a fluctuating plastic pointer with rubber hose at the other end.
Second it might be your thermostat.
Third there is a drian on the radiator on the bottom passenger side.

Hahaha ...when you say radiator.....what does that look like? =)

Not sure if that is a joke or not. But if it is not, it's the thing you put the coolant in just behind the grille.

Might be in your best interest to have Wallys do a radiator flush, is simple, even they can do it :D
