I have a 2002 Explorer XLT 4.0 and the engine coolant overflow hose developed a leak from rubbing against a pulley (not the skinny little over flow tube, but a fatter molded radiator hose, goes from bottom of overflow reservoir to the low end of radiator)... but that's not the problem....
I replaced the hose, and went to refill the lost coolant and noticed the coolant in there didnt look so hot. So I drained it, and flushed the radiator... Pulled the thermostat (which looked fine) and flushed the whole system... Put everything back together and started the refill process. Came to the point where its half full, and i need to run it till it warms up and opens the thermostat...
It wont start...
And I have no idea why. It tries to. plenty of crank, just wont turn over. Code reader doesnt find anything. plenty of gas in it. battery has juice. I have no idea what is wrong. Any help would be AWESOME!
