ok i need some help - everytime i get home from work when i get out of my 1996 ford explorer sport v6 it smells like if coolant was burning! and the other time i checked it out under the hood and saw that my coolant resevoir was empty so i added to the fill line. 2 weeks later empty again and it still smelled like burned coolant so i added more coolant. another 2 weeks empty again so this time i flushed to whole system and added new coolant. yet again it was still empty at another 2 weeks anybody know whats the problem?? oh and by the way my explorer doesnt overheat
help would be appreciated
thanxs

Sounds like the symptoms I had when I had a leaking heater hose. You should also check your oil and make sure the coolant isn't leaking into it. If it is, it will appear 'milky'.
I found my leak by taking the car for a drive and getting the engine hot, then idling in park with the A/C on full blast... I could see the coolant gushing out of a heater hose.
Good luck!

yeah i found what the problem was the hose under the overflow was leaking
