wow 26 views and no replies? so does anyone no anything on here? ILL JUST TAKE IT OFF AND GO TO THE JUNKYARD THANKS FOR THE HELP GUYS

Sorry Guy, just got to this one, you may find a nice one at a junkyard, you could just do away with it and run a full length hose to the heater core & engine block. This would hold you until a new one at reasonable can be had.

I'm on a hunt for those lines as well. Mine are pretty rotted. Its a matter of time before they start leaking...Don't know where to find em'

Dude, what's with the yelling... ELE...

Cut out the part that is rotten and replace it with rubber heater hose.

Easy.

Shouldn't you flare the end after cutting it short?

Wouldn't hurt, but you are only dealing with 16 PSI. Takes a good size flaring tool to flare 5/8" tubing.

Na, double up your clamps. I did it on an old 300 straight 6 and ran it for many, many thousand miles afterwards. As stated, low pressure, double clamps, good to go.

You could get crazy any cut out the leaking area with a Dremel tool or tubing cutter, then find some same diameter tubing and link it together with some compression fittings.
