Coolant Temp Sender

As pictured above, the sending unit to the temperature gauge is on the passenger side. The sensor to the PCM is on the driver side.

Back in undergraduate studies (1971-1975) at Wayne State Univ., I was taught (some of) the concepts behind the 'Dunning-Kruger effect'. My instructors didn't have the research facts to 'prove' their insights, but apparently had been convinced via (personal?) experiential data sufficiently to be disposed to spread the concept. [It's always 'nice' to (now) have a 'scientific name' for something.] The above quote is actually deficient itself (!), because the 'effect' is two-fold. It addresses distortions in BOTH the gifted AND in those not-so-gifted (as better-described at Wikipedia.) ["...the better to teach us humility--if willing to learn...]
