Cooling fan sounds like a jet.

I am sick of my cooling fan sounding like a jet. It seems like the more and more it gets driven, the more that stupid fan stays on. Its embarrassing! Semi-truck drivers look over at me because they can hear it over their trucks. Anyways, I want to either replace it with a quieter fan or some kind of electric fan. I have heard all the complaints about electric fan pulling all the amps out of your battery. Is there some kind of amplifier that you could put on to prevent this? Does anyone know what I can get to make my engine quiet. I have a flowmaster 40 series and I cant even hear it 75% of the time.

Maybe your fan clutch is making the noise? The fan clutch could be wearing out. You might look into that.

It's the Fan Clutch. Buy a new one from Ford, not a after market one from Auto Zone or Napa. The after market ones have problems and don't last as long. Also the Ford Fan Clutches run quieter then the after market ones.

I went thru 3 after market fan clutches befoer I bought a Ford fan clutch, which works great.
