I've checked a couple of AutoZones in the Detroit area. The pressure testers that they have don't come with an adapter to fit on 2000 Explorer. The kits come with an adapter to check the radiator cap, but not the adapter to connect to the radiator.

Anyone know what kind of adapter I might need?

I've probably tested maybe 4 different vehicles and an adapter was only need for the cap. No adapter was needed for the radiator test. Don't hold this as true in every case.

say what?
You cant put pressure into the system though the radiator cap if the pressure pump doesnt screw onto your radiator. Please explain?
Are you talking about testing the radiator out of the vehicle or in?

I have the stant pressure tester and it came with an adapter that fits my 93 4.0L style radiator cap but not my 96 style radiator cap, an adapter would be required.

I was talking about testing the cap pressure while off the radiator. That required an adapter. The pressure tester didn't need an adapter to fit the radiator, but like I said its probably not true in every case with diffrent brand testers and radiators.
