Cooling system thump!!

Just in the past 2 months I had to replace one of the cylinder heads due to a crack. My local ford dealer did the work. Just before it went in and now after I have a thump in the cooling system. Not loosing any coolant, new themostat, hoses, pump, and cluch for the fan.
Also my temp gauge is eractic, new temp sensor was installed too. I am lost on what the heck is up.

It has been three weeks now the air should be out i hope anyways. How in the heck do you get the air out, or just live with it.
