Got a bit done lastnight. I cut the shock boots off. They looked Dorkey on there.
Removed the 1/2" spacer from under the drivers coil and added a 1/4".
Removed the caliper retaining bolt and replaced with one that has a smaller head.
Trimmed the beam lip for steering clearance. It will go full lock now.
I adjusted the toe and I think I went too far with it and now there is too much toe out. I'll recheck it in the daylight tonight. Looks like the passengerside is a bit negative in the camber. I've got a 1° cam that is in the full neg position so i can clock it 1/4 turn to see where that gets me.
slow but it's getting there. Trying to aquire a set of spacers for the front. As there is little to no width change, with adding spacers to the rear is going to put the rear wider than the front. I'd like to redrill the axle shafts and rotors to go to the 5.5" BC but I don't think there is enough material for that. Only other option is to use a pre 92 ranger 8.8 as it's narrower than the explorer axle, but then I step down to a 28 spline axle.
Pressed out the studs on the rear adapters. I pulled some of the studs out of a set of front rotors i have. I'll be pressing more studs out to replace the ones in the adapters as the D35 rotor studs are about 1/2" longer and fit better with the aluminum wheels.
