Corner Light, switch lights?

I think this would be doable if... some how.. I could cut the wires.. and buy somewhere the sockets that'll work for this exact use..

its definitely doable..

i basically swapped the two top mounting sockets and made sure everything fits.

the reflector right above the headlight isnt lit because i took out the bulbs since i didnt like the way it looked. If you want to keep it stock then dont take them off.

the sides will function as running lights AND blinkers and the top part will just be running lights.

How did you swap them? (You're talking about the connectors on the ends of the wires.. correct?)

What do you mean in your 3rd sentence? You just confused the hell outta me kinda... lol

old night pic... sorry its kinda blurry but you get the idea..

yup, the bulb sockets themselves at the end of the wires..

when you look at the back of your corner light housing you will see that the mounting holes at the top corner and the one directly on top of the headlight are different.. all you have to do is cut them out and switch them, make a flat mounting plate for them to hold on to, jb weld them to their new location on the housing, check if the focus of the bulb to the reflector is correct (you can screw-up the focus and the light would be noticebly dim from the correct point of view) dry fit them making sure that the wires arent pinched/crimped in any way. if everything works then finish it up and enjoy the new custom look..

the "isnt lit" part? it's not illuminated because i don't like the "look" so i took out the bulb. if you want it to retain its function as a park/running lights then leave the bulb in there. or put some clear ones to match the headlights.

Weld? eep..

What's the cheapest easiest most simple redneck... hahaha.. way to do this?

Damn.. if the blinker was 2 wires.. this would have been easy as pie.. (With different colored bulbs of course..)

it took me less than two hours to do both sides.. and that was taking it slowly 'cause i was watchin a movie on my pc.. that's less than two hours plus 1 day of drying time for the JB weld..

JB Weld is a liquid steel/epoxy resin based adhesive/sealant.. kinda like normal epoxy but a bit stronger and perfect for lighting mods..

If you could provide a picture with the top part lighted.. that would be great..

On another note, I'd really really rather not cut anything at all (as far as the housing goes..)

These lights, all of them.. corners and headlights are brand new and I do not have spares in case I screw up..

Could you perhaps show some pictures of the modification itself?

As for cutting wires, I was thinking when I thought all the lights used two wires.. then this mod would have been easy as pie.. (this was after I noticed the sockets were different)

i'll see if i can take a pic in the next few days with the top part lit up.. as for the mod, i dont have pics of the process but give me a minute and i'll photoshop one for ya..

If only F150 lights mounted right up, no modifications required.. =P

Any information on those lights in your front plate area? Did you have to drill?

For reference.

you dont have to touch anything else except the socket holes that you're going to swap..

you see the part where you have to trim a little bit off the side of the socket hole(purple line)? well, you have to find a smaller type of bulb holder for that one too 'cause it'll hit the inner frame thing..

Either I'm color blind or there's no purple..

Edit: Nvm!!!

Any information on those lights in your front plate area? Did you have to drill?

yup, drill+mock-up+dry fit+a little bit of cutting.. it took me a couple of days to finish them since i had to make adjustable holders for the lights.. but after that installation was a 10 minute job..

Dammit, I really want this done...

I might just do it for looks and not function.. it looks so nice..
I would just swap the bulbs for opposite colors.

If someone could figure out how to do this without modifying the corners, that would be awesome..

Somehow, this is possible with the wiring.. I just know it...

[This looks so nice, looks like an F150 or an Expedition.]

So let me get this straight with the wiring..

Corner, +/-
Top Blinker, +/-/?
What is "?"

Could I..
Corner, -/?
Top, +/-
??... *sigh*

Edit: I think I just realized how the blinker bulbs work... they're exactly like the headlights... +L/-/+H.. correct? H=(high)=Blink
