ive searched and found out that the comp 410 cam would be best for me. i know i will need longer pushrods. but how much is it going to cost me to have those installed? and does that 410 cam have a nice, loping idle?

Call Competition Cams and ask them. They will tell you what you need to know.

Is this for an OHV V-6? You sure don't want much of a cam in one of those. Darn thing won't be able to pull itself out of it's own way at a stoplight if you do. Keep your lift high (beware of piston to valve clearance), your overlap down, and use a wide angle. No lope that way, but it will really help the torque...which is what will make the cam fun to drive. Again, call Comp and talk to them. Answer their questions honestly (don't exaggerate) They will make the best recommendation for you. Over camming an engine is the worst thing you can do for street use.

Curious...why would you need longer push rods? Does that cam have a smaller base circle?

thats what i read from searching. that i would need longer pushrods, the valve springs would be ok. is anybody running a comp cam on a ohv?

come on guys- i know theres some people with them in 1st gens

i have the 410 in my 92 but have not started it just for the reason you just said i did not know i would need longer pushrods and now i am taking it back apart i hear it will need 5.525 and stock is 5.475 is this right im running stock rockers also somebody HELP!!!

Again, call the manufacturer! That is your best source of information. Keep in mind that even though two engines may be the same, they can require different push rod lengths due to machining, tolerance stack, etc. Your best bet is to actually measure and see what you need. But the manufacturer can probably get you close enough.
