Hey guys i'm new to this forum and have some issues with my car that I would enjoy some help with, I would greatly appreciate it. Just a little information my car is a 4x2 with 4.0L automatic engine at 81000 miles and is all stock except for the tires, aftermarket stereo and speakers that were plug n play, and a couple body mods, but nothing in the way of motor. I do plan on lifting my car within about a year or so please take this into consideration.
1st: My ride down streets is now squeaky and I'm pretty sure its the shocks but not definite so could it be anything else? If it does happen to be the shocks any tips on good replacement ones.
2nd: I need new front brakes, tips on some good ones? I just replaced the rear brakes with motorcraft ones but not sure if that was a good choice or not, so far they have been good.
3rd and final: I just picked up a set of Rugged Ridge 15205.53 7" HID for a bargain and am a noob at installing and electronics. I have read some threads on how to install in here but not much in the way of HID so I dont know if its different or not. I have found a place to run the wire through the brake line in the firewall but don't know if theres a better spot to run it through. Also i;m not really sure how to ground it and if the wiring that comes with the kit would be enough. The site says it comes with a switch and a relay but don't know if it would be sufficient. Also I dont know if i should be wary of installing these since I had an issue with other hid headlights resetting my radio everytime I would turn on the headlight. I also did buy a new radio bezel at the pick-ur-part for 4bucks to install the switch but am not really sure on how to run the wire through the firewall to behind the bezel to make it clean.

I know that this is a lot of questions and am sorry if i'm double posting on some of these but I would greatly appreciate any help that I could receive and thank you to all of you in advance.

Find the squeak - could be shocks, bushings, sway bar end links, etc. I used Monroe Sensatrac shocks all round on mine recently and have been happy with them.

thank you for your response bob. I was told at my last service that my upper ball joint and boot were bad, do you think this could be the issue of the squeak

It could. If the boot is torn, the grease gets out and the dirt gets in, which can definitely result in noise.

Yes- I had a squeaking on my '95, and replaced everything in the front but the UCA's when I was in there and the noise was still there. After replacing the UCA, it was gone.

thanks guys ill definitely be checking those out

glad you were able to get some answers, but for future reference this forum is for gen II explorers (1995-2001) :)
