Anyone know where I can buy new Covers that sit inside the fender that keeps water/mud out of the engine bay? It just attaches with tapered plugs. I tried Rock auto and couldn't find them. I really don't even know what the name of them is.

Thanks for any help.

i would actually take one too for the passenger side. haha most likely have to go to a junk yard and pull them off or if you see a fellow explorer in a parking lot hahaha jk

Just make them.

Mine were old and breaking, so I bought a nice sized BBQ mat. One of those thick rubber mats that you put under a BBQ. I cut it to size, made holes for the Christmas Tree Pins, and it works great.
They're even stronger than the original ones.

It cost me around $10.

^Great Idea!

RockAuto sells them, but they're expensive (with the shipping) and they don't come with the pins that hold them in place. i think they're called "splash shields" or "inner fender splash gaurds". you'll find them under inner fender. if you can, make your own.

This information is about 2 years old:
Front fender apron splash shields:
LH: F57Z16103AD Marietta Ford $26.54@+tax; fordpartsonline $16.80@+shp
RH: F57Z16102AD
Good luck.

Bought mine from my local ford dealer and they were not expensive.
