Cragar Soft 8 Center Caps - decisions decisions

It's also good to have a physical store to go into and talk to someone if you have any issues. That's actually why I did order my wheels from summit. There's a store about an hour away from me and they were cheapest, but I would have paid more to get them from a store nearby.

Every Summit CSR I've spoke with in purchasing with them has been in, what I would rank as, the Top CSR Reps of 2012.

Each one of them ready, and willing to help - and go an extra step to call if anything goes wrong or changes in the order. I can't speak highly enough of them. Lucky of you to have one so close by - are the sales persons in the store just as polite, and helpful?

On another note - I'm starting to like the look of the following center caps - they should work right? Will I need to have specific lug nuts for them to snap to, or would a regular set of locking nuts from mcgard work?

These are the ones I'm liking now -

Would they work?

You use the factory lugnuts for those. Might wanna test fit before you buy them.

I've never actually been into the store. I actually never ordered anything from them until the wheels but they were very helpful when I inquired to the hold up on my wheels from Pro Comp. I always flipped through their magazine before ordering stuff for my Cougar but I ended up ordering through Mustangs Unlimited because they were also nearby but, more importantly, one of the few vendors of classic Cougar parts.

Well, I got my wheels in yesterday... Called around to get a price comparison and to see I'f anyone else could beat the 190/tire that a local shop had quoted me. Glad idid the extra shopping around- called a Coloradoland Tire Shop here and without even hearing the other store's price he said he would "blow them out of the water", after which he quoted me 164/tire... Couldn't make it to the store quicker than I did lol.

Now... I sit in a waffle house awaiting a call from the tire store!

P. S. Got my hashbrowns smothered and covered

Nice job man, always pays off to shop around. Glad to see you have the raised white letters out too, looks better, JMO. Those will look sweet on your Trac with that color!!! Oh ya, what's up with no invite to the Waffle House??? LOL

Funny, I was gonna say the tires were mounted backward, lol. White letters out in the Georgia clay just doesn't work. My Cougar stays white out, though.

Still haven't decided on a center cap though... Thinking, at this point, that I'm just going to get a basic cragar push through and leave the lugs exposed.

I like the cheap push through type I got. Nothing worth noticing, just like I want from a center cap.

where from? how much did the set run you?

Got them from Summit. Not sure exactly which ones because the ones I ordered were on backorder and they sent a replacement. They were $9-10 each.

Those look like the cheap universal caps. Cragar caps curve out on the top and have CRAGAR stamped in them.

I payed $5 each for my Ford ranger/ Explorer caps from the junkyard.

They are actual Pro Comp caps, but I'm not sure of the part number.

I know it's embarrassing to admit, but I still don't know where the junkyards are in my new hometown.

Oh, my bad. I keep forgetting those are ProComp wheels and not Cragar's, their exactly the same only Cragar's are cheaper.

Yeah, I definitely would have gotten Cragar if they made a 17x8 with backspacing that would have worked for me. Oh well.
