Lemme tell y'all a hillarious story. I was at Costco the other day tryin to get some new tires for my mom's station wagon. Since im sittin around, i decide to talk to the employee about my X. I ask him why the BFG's AT/KO's are wearing in such an odd pattern. No matter how much air pressure i fill my tires with, the outsides of the tread wear so mcuh faster than the middle. Im running them at 42psi!!! I tell him i have a stock 98 X with 30X9.5's and he nearly falls to the floor! He tells me that those are the wrong tires i got for my car and i am in great danger of flipping over. then he refers me to all the Firestone rollover incidents. Then he begins to blame Explorers for their poor design and that is the reason all those explorers flipped over. NOT BECAUSE OF CRAPPY @$$ FIRESTONE TREAD SEPARATION... Which everyone knows was the true cause of all the accidents. At this point, im thinking, "you dont know what the FREAK you are talkin bout dood." but i just let the guy continue to talk outta his ARSE and just finish... so whatever. that Costco TIRE SPECIALIST, although a really nice guy, KNOWS CRAP ABOUT TIRES.
