Cruise control buzz

Ive noticed a slightly annoying buzzing sound when cruise control is on. It is faint but noticeable. Sounds like it is coming from near the top of the dash near the defrost. Unsure. Also the buzzing goes away if i put a small amount of pressure on the gas pedal (not enough to alter the speed but just enough to take out the slack) and the noise is gone.

Any idea?

Did you try a search? It's on one of these sites. Little time now for me to look, but there was a bulletin regarding such a buzz and it stated the acc. cable hold down clip under the hood was maybe to blame or a spark plug wire making contact with said cable. Neither solved the problem on my '04 and I still buzz away!

Actually, enjoyed a nice little buzz off a new beer I tried today for the first time.

On another note, i tried that suggestion and also ran extensive searches and no returns..

tsb 05-10-03 for accel pedal vibration/buzz. It involves rerouting cables and make sure they are not touching #6 spark plug wire.
