Cruise Control Question

Hey guys i have a nd 03 Ex and have been having some issues with my cruise control. It works sometimes and sometimes it won't. Any idea if there is a sensor that controls this or if it is vaccuum operated or what?? I'm about to be at wits end with it.

On my '04 there is a vehicle speed sensor in the rearend for the cruise control. Not sure if the '03s have this though.

cruise problems - master cylinder switch, its used to turn cruise off when you hit the brakes, $20 or so, 5min repair. I'd do that first before anything. Is the ABS light on?

i wondered about the switch on the master cylinder and also the ABS light comes on randomly also but its usually not on when the cruise actually decides to work.

Thats the symptom of the switch failing, almost 100% its the Master Cyl. Switch. ABS light no cruise. If the light is off then the cruise will work, seems very random,

I also have problems with my cruise control and randomly the ABS light does come on too.
Where can I get a new switch and how would I change it?

dealer item was $20, unplug, i used Channel locks to remove it, swap the new one in, plug it back in and you should be good to go. No need to bleed the system either, but don't touch the brake fluid or mess with it while the sensor is off. . .

If the the ABS light comes on again then it might be the Rear ABS sensor ($50) but at one point the ABS light came on and wouldn't go out. But if your still having problems it might be worth it to have the codes read, it will tell you which sensor is failed but that could be $100 or so.
