cruise control question

Can someone please tell me if it's possible to put an OEM cruise control in a non cruise 1999 Ranger? Is the wiring harness under the airbag, waiting for me to hook up, or do I have to run cable, etc. to hook up an aftermarket one? I wouldn't have a problem doing that, but it ways heavily on my decision.
I'm a newbie, so be gentle.

Not likely an easy task. The OEM control system is all tied into the factory wiring harness. You would probably have to gather the parts from a salvage yard and check to see if your wiring harness has the right connectors. I did an after market about 30 years ago. Can you still buy an after market unit?
