Cruise Control

I need the assistance of a knowledgable cruise control wizard on a 1993 XLT 2WD.

As in, where do we start looking AFTER replacing the fuse?

FYI, it has never worked while I've owned it, but I bought the ugly SOB at a Sheriff's sale. Runs great, doesn't leak oil like a BroncoII and has a boulevard ride.

But the Cruise Control is kaputski...

Any takers?

Take off the pad on the steering wheel (two screws underneath). The pad has the buttons on it for cruise and there is a wire that is plugged in, underneath the pad, to the steering column. I'm betting it isnt plugged in.
