I have an 02 Limited V8, when I try to set the cruise the light on the dash lights up, but it does not set. I have been searching threads but have found nothing. Any ideas?

Having the same issue. I am taking her in this Thursday and will post fix after I get it back from dealer.

Look and see if the cable somehow got disconnected from the throttle body. I had a Grand Prix that did the same thing, and it turned out to be my own stupidity when I had the TB off I forgot to hook the cable back up. The system thought it was working, but nothing was actuating the throttle.

If not on the throttle body side, check to see if the cable going into the servo is good. It may even have broke internally where you can't see it. Disconnect the cable at the servo, and pull on it and see if you can get the throttle to move.

I'm willing to bet it's something pretty simple like that though.

will do, good advice.

if they are the same as my 98 sport (or close), my truck did not have cruise from factory, so i put one in, and the same thing was happening. i forgot to hook up the switch on the master cylinder. maybe the switch is dead on yours?
