Could be a bunch of things - Does it do it only in 4x4? Otherwise any part of you suspension could be worn out that would cause it.

it clunks at a sharp turn to its got auto 4x4

A clunk is definitely not normal but it's too hard to tell without more diagnosis.

First thing I would check, though, is the sway bar bushings and end links - I've seen a LOT of Explorers with bad bushings. They are easy to check and replace, and cheap. It would be a good first step to rule them out, and they are surely due for a change anyway.

I had the same problem in my old explorer. Broken u-joint, another thing you are going to want to check.

ah ok ill check that stuff out and ive notices my mountaineer sits lower then other ones ive seen in town im wondering if my shocks are bad of it someone lowered it

You can raise and lower the front end by turning the torsion bar adjusting bolt, doesn't mean anything is "bad".

I lowered the front of mine a bit because I like the way it looks better. FWIW.

Jack up the front end and wiggle the tires. If there's any play, you've got a worn suspension part. Hub, ball joint or tie rod end. If there's no play then it could be a cv shaft

ok ty guys im planing on turning up the torsion bars cause i want to lift it a lil bit im a big offroad junky, but i gotta wait til i can get bigger shocks and a add a leaf
