Now, my car (95 Explorer XLT) only does this when the AC is on. What it does, is when the car comes to a stop (say, a stop light) the car will make this weird "grrrrr" like sound (I know that's very helpful ey?) that comes from the driver's side, and the RPM's rise up from about 800ish to 1000. The air flow doesn't change from the AC blowing out of the vents during/after this sound. It'll only do it for like, 2-3 seconds. Is this something to do with how the AC system works? Not that this is a problem, my Explorer is running fine. I'm just curious on what that is, and if it is something I should know/care/worry about.
