If you have torque monster headers installed, what kind of cash should somebody expect to spend on a O/R H-pipe setup, into dual flowmaster 40 series w/ dumps? (right in front of the rear axle)

I plan on going with motorcraft wires, New spark plugs, full exhaust & Mac CAI (having trouble finding the CAI in stock though) on a 150,000 mile explorer...suspension mods/glass & 33's to come soon as well

J.

I don't know where you expect to fit an H-pipe in an Explorer.

Sorry should have clarified it would be a custom job. Just trying to gauge what a shop would typically charge for something like this. I called a local place but they wanted to me to pay just to analyze my truck for a quote

Around here it would be around 2-300 dollars. Problem is that it may hang pretty low.

I wouldn't run Flowmasters either. Look into spintech, they have a website. Or a pair of Borlas.

Thanks Dan,

On my 95 5.0 Cobra, I ran a MAC O/R H-Pipe into 2-series flowmasters, no cats. Sounded awesome, so Im partial to that type of setup on the 5.0 I don't necessarily think the higher-RPM sound of the flows is the best, but I do like the deep rumble at idle/low RPM that the 2-series give. I am definitely going to look at my muffler options, but I do want the deep sound, or as deep as possible

Spintech sounds much richer and not as ugly raspy as flowmaster does. If you run true duals and no cats go with 2.75" but if you end up running single go 3". Im Running TM headers custom y-pipe to a 3.5" dynomax and spintech
