During a disc grinding mishap while doing my radius arm bushing my stupid a** nicked my clutch line from the master to the tranny. So I'm going to have to replace it, and I am assuming I'll need to take out the master cylinder to do this.

My question is, how does the line connect to the master cylinder? I bought the quick disconnect tool that disconnects it from the tranny, but it does not look like the same type of connection on the master. I've spent yesterday searching for answers to no avail. I'm sure I can figure it out once I get the master out, but I'm trying to make this as quick of a job as possible so any pointers would be appreciated.

Thanks
Brian

Its been a while since I replaced one, but if I remember right, the line is held in with a roll pin. Just drive the pin out and the line pulls out. I could be wrong though!

Thanks

I think you're right... It's hard to see w/o pulling it out, but i remember seeing a hole or pin or something at the end.

Muchas gracias mrboyle!

I remember i was out wheeling a 88 Ranger a few years ago, and came down very hard on a rut, which i think, caused something to severe the hydraulic line to the clutch, and had to drive her home in 2nd gear. I didnt buy a new line, but instead used a pressure fitting to couple the line back together. Had the truck for another 2 years without a leak or a problem, ever. Just my 2 cents.

Well I thought about trying to do something like that, but my luck with those kind of repairs is not good. The part was around $50 from FPN, which was about half of what the dealer wanted(dealer only part), so I figured I'd just replace it.

Should be here Thurs so hopefully I can be back on the road before the end of the week, and before I strangle the bobbing dog on my wife's hyundai's dash.
