Looks nice. The last picture you posted is close to how I cut mine and then added the modified ARB winch bumper. Are you going to build a tube prerunner style bumper or a plate bumper like mine?

Why are you guys cutting these?

Tire clearance? Approach angle improvement?
 






All of the above, if you take your ST offroad "beyond the dirt roads" you'll see why. The bumper cover hangs down so low and far out that it hits on everything. Even before I cut mine I would bottom it out going up and down some of Pittsburgh's really steep streets which most are.
 






Damn midnight rebel! thats a serious bumper you have there! but yeah i plan on going prerunner styler bumper. ive always like the look just been to lazy to do it. now that ive got the process started it will pressure me to get out and get it done.

but yeah i cut mine mostly for extra clearance. partially for the looks. im probably gonna cut the whole wheel well out about an in all the way around as well. i wanna feel safe running 35s and KNOW that they wont hit anything.
