CV noise experts help

cv axles last as long as they last. a lot depends on hard you are on them, but it's usually a torn/missing boot that does them in.

Better news yet as the boots are still in very good shape. Thanks for the help once more!

I have another front end noise (knock or groan) on the right side when going going over bumps at slow speed. Suspect a bushing as the ball joints have both been replaced. Is there a bushing that commonly wears out in this area?

sway bar bushings.

The sway bar bushings in this case are neoprene and look solid. could it be something else?

Hi at all!

Am i right, that this joint could not be replaced (97 Explorer V6)?
I could not beleave it, cause the new repair kits has new snap rings inside.
So normally the joint should be replaceable?

unless the sway bar bushings have grease fittings (and have been lubed) neoprene bushings are notorious for making noise. try greasing them and see if that helps.
