I have an opportunity to get the inner most slip shaft passenger side (the side that goes into the carrier) but it is from a 96 Ranger D28, Will this work with my 89 B2?

Thanks!
Mike

......I do not believe it will...

...The shaft from the Ranger is from a "Hybrid" Dana 35/28 set up and I believe the length alone will be different but I also think they use different u-joints...

...I'm sure 4x4junkie will pop in to confirm this though..

...If not, I have a broke pass side one I can measure off of my Ranger...:dunno:

Confirmed: Nope
Anyone out there in my-yard-looks-like-an-80's-ford-dealer-land got a shaft laying around you might part with? :D

88-90 B2 D28 Passenger Inner-most half shaft

..Just a thought but why not just grab a complete Dana 35 from a Ranger or Explorer?

...Easy to find and you can find spare parts everywhere...;)

tbars, lemme tell you....If I could I would go and get a D44! I did find a D35, but I run 3:73 and it was geared differently. It's a matter of it being my DD and cant have it outta commission for too long (until I get my Explorer tranny) once the Ex is up it is on. but for now I jus need the shaft

..I hear where you are coming from as my Ranger is my full time DD and latest project truck..

...Just a heads up but 3.73 is a very common gear setup in first gen Explorers...;)

..Have you tried any of our vendors such as Kbabiak found on the bottom of the Forums page?

I bought the outter part from him, he doesn't have the inner. I'll check other vendors listed though
