Daltons 1989 Ranger 5.0 swap

I have a 1989 ford ranger Xlt, and will be doing a 302 swap. I’m looking for cam recommendations, I want to be able to rev it out a little more and not have to replace pistons heads etc. I also have an 8.8 rear axle for the Ranger out of an explorer and am curious if any bolt kits were made for it to bolt in as well as any recommendations for upgrading pads rotors and calipers. If there is anything else that I should know about the swap please add! This is my first swap!

Not what you want to hear but here it goes.

I'd get the swap working, then do upgrades.

As far as cam, and revving,
Once the stock valvetrain hits over 5800 rpms,

Upgrading springs and rocker arms is a must.
The stock 3/8 " pedestal bolts can't handle this without flexing

Cannot avoid the rabbit hole, if you want higher revs.
