damage to side of car, need help to fix.

I've got a 2002 XL, i'm a pizza delivery driver so I was bound to get in an accident. someone swerved and hit the side of my explorer, broke the sideview mirror (passenger side) small dent in front fender that I believe is fixable. but destroyed one end of the little painted and evidently metal bar in the middle of the doors... I'll show a picture later.

I've got the sideview mirror ordered, and I have no clue about the bar mentioned above, now that I know it's metal, I'm having trouble figuring out if it's simply part of the main door? or something that add to the door that I should be able to buy somewhere?

help me please!
