Was changing the oil in the Explorer this afternoon, noted alot of residue near the front of the vehicle. Doing a bit more intensive inspection, I found a damaged hose. Im pretty confident I have found the part number for the hose that I will need, I am more concerned with how intensive this replacement will be. Im currently already planning on taking the vehicle to get the water pump replaced as its already at 103k miles. Should I just let them go ahead and replace it whilst its in the shop? Will post picture of damage, maybe something someone else might need to keep an eye out for.

Small tear on the left hose that feeds into the lower radiator section. Part appears to be KM5412

looking at the part, it's probably super simple. the branch hoses disconnect without tools, and there's hose clamps on the ends. if you're already in for the pump, do it at the same time. they probably need to take it off anyhow. and the certainly need to drain the system.
