2003 Ford Explorer XLT
Hi guys. New to this forum and was hoping I could get an honest opinion about some tires for my 2003 Explorer. It has served me well and has 184K miles on her but she needs new shoes. I live in the DC area: not much snow, no off-road driving and no long distances anymore. Would the LSX from Cooper be good enough or should I opt for the AT3? The AT3 looks like a pretty rugged tire for my purposes but it got really good reviews. Any advice would sure be appreciated.

the lsx should be enough if snow traction is not an issue,,

Bought a set of General Grabbers when I bought my Explorer. Great wear and quiet, comfortable ride but great traction in snow.

I have had the AT3 on two explorers and they are a great tire in the snow and on the road.

Honestly they are overkill for what you need snow wise so realistically the LSX's should be more than fine.
