Dana 35 Gears

Hey quick question here

has anyone switched out there front gears... i am sure you have but what i mean is

is it just a simple carrier you swap out or is it like the 8.8 and you have to do all the extra set up work

I am trying to upgrade to 4.10 but cheaply and having no luck any help would be greatly appreciated.

All differentials are different, all ring and pinions have a different setting. You can't just throw a carrier in there with bearings, a few shims, and hope everything comes out right. You will be highly advised to get a overhaul kit for your differential -- and with the Dana 35 you will not be able to do it very cheaply. Ring and Pinion themselves run around 140-160 and then the install kits are around 90-110. Hope everything works out.

yeah hes right, but as far as swapping pumkins... thats completely do-able

you can remove the pumpkin and swap it in for a new one with the gears ya want... it wont be cheap but easier...
