Is the D35 the same on the 92 explorer as the 99?

i was wondering because im looking to purchase a used detriot locker for my front end... the locker came out of a 99 and im running a 92... is it compatible?

the diffs are different.. also was there ever a detroit locker made for a 99 ford explorer? i htink you might be getting confused that the dana 35 was also a jeep axle, and they are nowhere near compatible with each other...

yep you are exactly right man. i didnt realize it but it was for a '99 XJ, this whole time i thought it was a '99 XL! haha thanks man
